Dushy Gnanapragasam has over 30 years of experience in the biopharma industry in operations, engineering design, and validation of GxP facilities and processes. He is experienced in manufacturing operations and processes, facility and equipment design, bioprocess improvement and optimization, commissioning and qualification, equipment and facility startup, and process validation. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of areas, including bacterial fermentation, upstream processing, downstream purification, aseptic operations, buffer and media preparation, washing and sterilizing operations, utility generation and distribution, systems, waste handling systems, material and final product handling and storage, biosafety and biocontainment, and single use systems.

Dushy is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. He has been the engineering design lead for multiple capital projects for major biopharma companies, including Sanofi, Merck, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, and Lonza. He was previously the Deputy Director of Process Engineering at Sanofi Pasteur, and Director of Process Engineering at Integrated Project Services (IPS). He is currently a director with the Global Strategy and Technology team at IPS.
