Ryan received his BSc/MSc in Immunology from Queen’s University and is currently a senior PhD candidate in the labs of Dr. Ronald Cohn and Dr. Zhenya Ivakine at The Hospital for Sick Children. His research focuses on developing therapeutic applications of next-generation genome editing technologies, notably in vivo approaches utilizing AAV-mediated base and prime editing for the treatment of paediatric neuromuscular conditions, with a primary focus on muscular dystrophies.
