Stilmas R&D and Technical Director
Paolo Leani graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (scientific-technological University in Italy) and has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical water treatment field. Mr. Leani started his professional career at “Ponzini” until the acquisition of the company by Stilmas S.p.A. (2005). At Stilmas, initially working as a Project Manager in charge of complex projects for multinational pharmaceutical companies, Mr. Leani got progressively involved in managing the Stilmas project management team and engineering department (2007).
At present, Mr. Leani is Stilmas R&D and Technical Director.
As a member of the ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering), Mr. Leani is active in Clean Utilities CoP and has been involved in the writing of the chapter related to Clean Utilities in the “ISPE HANDBOOK: SUSTAINABILITY” (2015). Moreover, he has been involved as a contributor in the writing of the “Good Practice Guide: Membrane-Based Water for Injection Systems” (2022), as well as of the Good Practice Guide “Approach to Commissioning and Qualification of Pharmaceutical Water and Steam System” (2014).
He also actively participates with PDA worldwide.
