Mat is a Professional Engineer with 10+ years’ experience in capital engineering and project management. Mat graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Mat also holds a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where he focused on photochemical reaction engineering for air pollution control. Currently serving as Manager of Capital Engineering Services at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Mat leads a team in managing large-scale engineering construction projects. He specializes in commissioning, qualification, and optimization of manufacturing systems, leveraging industry standards such as ASME BPE and ISPE guidelines. His expertise in capital engineering involves overseeing projects from initial concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource management.
