Allison Brown (She/Her)

Allison has over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of advanced research, technology commercialization and business development, largely in the regenerative medicine/cell and gene therapy sector. Throughout her various roles in business development and commercialization, she has forged partnerships with some of the world’s leading technology companies to tackle bold research challenges.
Allison recently joined CCRM as Senior Vice-President, Academic Engagement and Philanthropy. In this role, Allison provides executive leadership for CCRM’s global academic engagement and partnerships strategy. She is also leading a strategy to scale The CCRM Foundation, including the development of the Foundation’s inaugural fundraising campaign to secure funding from philanthropic, government and private sector partners.
Prior to joining CCRM, Allison served as the Executive Director of Medicine by Design, a $100M regenerative medicine research hub spanning the University of Toronto (U of T) and its affiliated hospitals.
Allison was part of the start-up leadership team at CCRM and has also held roles in management consulting and the pharmaceutical industry. She holds a PhD and a BASc in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry from U of T.
